Jewelry Class 1: Basic Metalsmithing
Metalsmithing involves creating pieces using one or more metals through various shaping and heating techniques.
In this introductory class, you will be creating unique jewelery pieces made with silver or copper metal.You will learn various techniques including:
• cutting silver or copper using a jeweler’s saw
• shaping, riveting, soldering, filing, stamping, and etching
• incorporating beads and working with wire
• polishing and finishing your piece
Classes are available for small groups of 3-5 students. Please contact us to arrange daytime or evening classes.
Each class is approximately 3 hours.
$160 for 5 sessions + one-time Studio fee* $50
*Studio fee includes use of tools, hydro, and consumables.
Note: Silver, Copper, and hand-cut semi-precious gemstones can be purchased as needed for your projects.
Jewelry Class 2: Advanced Metalsmithing

Enameling Class 1: Intro to Enameling
Enameling is a process that involves fusing finely ground coloured glass onto metal by heating at a high temperature of 1500°F. In this introductory class, you will be creating unique jewellry pieces made with copper and enamels.
You will learn a range of techniques including:
• cutting copper into various shapes using a jeweller’s saw
• shaping metal using files, etching, and stamping tools
• applying enamel onto metal using a small high-heat kiln
• basic techniques such as stenciling and under-glazing
• advanced techniques including limoges, sgraffito, and basse-talle
Classes are available for small groups of 3-5 students.

Enameling Class 2: Advanced Techniques
Increase your enameling skills in this advanced class which incorporates more complex designs and techniques using enamel and metal.
